Kings Award for Voluntary Service

We are delighted to share that 8th Chelmsford has been shortlisted for The King’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award given to voluntary groups in the UK. Following our nomination, we were visited by Deputy Lieutenants of Essex and later invited to a special reception at Hatfield Place alongside other Essex nominees and previous award winners. It was a proud moment for everyone involved with the Group, and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the dedication, enthusiasm and hard work that takes place at 8th Chelmsford every week. We now wait with excitement for the final announcement on His Majesty The King’s birthday on 14 November — please keep your fingers crossed for us!
